Juvenile Out-of-Home PlacementJanuary 11, 1999 This report examines Minnesota's locally-administered juvenile out-of-home placement system. It documents the reasons for placements and assesses the strengths and weaknesses of the system. The report concludes that there is a more pressing need in Minnesota for additional non-residential services compared with residential services. The report recommends county screening teams, court-determined placement goals, and agency reporting on placement outcomes. |
