The Minnesota Office of the Legislative Auditor (OLA) is seeking a Deputy Legislative Auditor to lead its Financial Audit Division. This is a full-time, unclassified, nonpartisan managerial position appointed by the Legislative Auditor and confirmed by the Legislative Audit Commission. The Deputy is appointed for a six-year term, coterminous with the Legislative Auditor, and cannot be removed, except for “cause.”
The Financial Audit Division has a staff of 35 auditors, most of whom are CPAs. The division audits organizations in the executive and judicial branches of Minnesota state government.
