Ethanol ProgramsFebruary 6, 1997 This report evaluates the costs and benefits of Minnesota's ethanol programs. The programs, which subsidize production and require the use of ethanol in gasoline, will cost about $67 million in government subsidies and higher gasoline prices to consumers annually. The net economic benefits to the state each year are between $109 and $260 million. |
