Selecting Topics for Evaluation

Topics for evaluation by OLA's Program Evaluation Division are selected by the Legislative Audit Commission (LAC). Suggestions come from legislators, legislative staff, citizens, public interest groups, financial audits, past evaluations, and OLA staff. Requests may be submitted by phone, e-mail, interview, letter, committee resolution, or formal petition to the Legislative Audit Commission.

Topic Selection Subcommittee. To review the many requests and suggestions submitted each year, the commission establishes a Topic Selection Subcommittee. The members of the subcommittee for 2012 are:

Senator Roger J. Reinert, Chair
149 State Office Building (651-296-4188)

  4. Timeliness. Is this an appropriate time for an evaluation?
  5. Feasibility. Are data and resources available for an evaluation?
