Misclassification of Employees as Independent Contractors
November 28, 2007We assessed the extent to which Minnesota employers have misclassified employees as independent contractors, and evaluated the adequacy of the state’s enforcement of laws and rules related to classification. We found that misclassification is a problem in Minnesota, and the state should establish a coordinated approach to address it.
