Works in Progress

The Legislative Audit Commission (LAC) has directed OLA to evaluate ten topics. OLA is in the process of evaluating seven of the ten topics:

  1. Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Services in Public Schools
  2. Automatic Voter Registration (with a Department of Public Safety focus)
  3. Board of Animal Health (BAH) Oversight of Companion Animals
  4. Minnesota Board of Public Defense
  5. Minnesota Department of Health: Assisted Living Facility Licensing
  6. Minnesota Agricultural Water Quality Certification Program (WQCP)
  7. Voter Registration System (with an Office of the Secretary of State focus)

We are currently in the beginning stages of the Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Services in Public Schools and Board of Animal Health (BAH) Oversight of Companion Animals evaluations. If you would like to provide input on the scope of either of these evaluations, please click here.

OLA will begin work on the remaining topics in Spring 2026:

  2. State Regulation of Nursing Home Care
  3. Taxpayers' Transportation Accountability Act
