The Legislative Audit Commission (LAC) directed OLA to evaluate seven topics in 2025. OLA has started work on the following four of the seven evaluation topics:

1. Minnesota Department of Health: Assisted Living Facilities Licensing
2. Minnesota Agricultural Water Quality Certification Program (WQCP)
3. Office of Ombudsperson for Families
4. Voter Registration System (with an Office of the Secretary of State focus)

OLA will start work on the remaining three of the seven topics later this year or early next year.

1. Board of Animal Health (BAH) Oversight of Companion Animals
2. Implementation of Automatic Voter Registration (with a Department of Public Safety focus)
3. Minnesota Board of Public Defense
