Possible Topics for Evaluation in 2026

The Legislative Audit Commission Evaluation Subcommittee met on April 10, 2026, to narrow a list of proposed topics to 12 semifinalists for further consideration as OLA program evaluations in 2026–2027. These 12 topics are listed below:
  1. Adult Day Services (No. 69 from the Topic List)
  2. Attorney General’s Office (No. 95)
  3. Corporate Concentration in Minnesota (No. 96)
  4. DHS and County Collaboration on Service Approvals and Provision (No. 76)
  5. DHS System Modernization (No. 85)
  6. Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy (No. 17)
  7. Minnesota Department of Health Mortuary Science Program (No. 67)
  8. Minnesota Paid Family Medical Leave (No. 29)
  9. Minnesota Research Tax Credit (No. 9)
  10. MPCA Feedlot Permitting (No. 52)
  11. Office of Cannabis Management (No. 101)
  12. Post-Secondary Enrollment Options (No. 43)
The Legislative Audit Commission Evaluation Subcommittee will meet Friday, May 8, at 9:00 a.m. in Capitol G3 to review background information on potential program evaluation topics and narrow the list of topics under consideration.
