A lack of plans, poor documentation, unclear guidance, and conflicting goals have resulted in uncertainty as to whether the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has met statutory requirements to harvest timber in wildlife management areas (WMAs) only for the benefit of wildlife and related recreation.

    A brief overview of OLA’s history.

  • The Office of the Legislative Auditor's Financial Audit Division will release the performance audit, Office of the Governor and Lieutenant Governor, on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.

    The audit’s key findings and recommendations will be presented to the Legislative Audit Commission that morning at 10:00 a.m. in room G-3 State Capitol.

    The report will be streamed via YouTube.
  • The LAC Evaluation Subcommittee met on October 6, 2025, and selected the following program evaluation topics for possible evaluation in 2026:

    10. Waiver Reimagine
    In the following weeks, OLA will prepare background information on these program evaluation topics and present this information to the LAC for consideration when selecting final topics.
